WOMENS NORDIC COMBINED

German athlete Svenja Wuerth will end her career after the season. She achieved several top ten results in the World Cup and one podium in the Summer Grand Prix. The World Cup this weekend in Oslo at the famous Holmenkollen (large hill premiere for the women in the WC) will be her last competition.

The Norwegian superstar Gyda Westvold Hansen wins the gold medal in the Individual Gundersen competition in front of her home crowd in Trondheim. Her teammate Ida marie Hagen wins the silver medal and bronze goes to the Austrian Lisa Hirner. For both, Hagen and Hirner, it is the first individual World Championship medal.
After an amazing jump Junior World Champion Ingrid Laate takes a very strong 4th place.

Team Norway shows their strenght already in the jumping part. They win and get to start the cross country race ahead of Japan and Germany. Also Team Germany shows a strong competition and wins the silver medal. Bronze goes to Team Austria.
